I've spoken to Electrolux cutomer Services and they said the washing machine program needs to be reset because the washing machine itself is fine, its just the door won't open - so its a programming problem. Does anyone know how to reset a Zanussi 1200 program (ie putting it back to factory settings)?

disconnect from the mains for 10 min.open the filter and drain the water out.now try opening the door.If it is still stuck try banging the door where the handle is fast/repeatedly to see if it releases.if that fails lid off and release from behind.Electrolux telling you it needs resetting is STRANGE!!!.some models had issue with door locks doing this and door lock needs to be replaced with a new one once you get the door open
