My vauxhall zafira blaupunkt 300 radio is stuck in safe mode ?

My husband has repeatedly entered the code for the radio incorrectly and now it has the display SAFE. There are no numbers, we do have the correct code and would really like some help with getting the radio working again. Thanks

Go out for a drive with the radio on the numbers appear after a certain amount of time it takes longer each time you enter the code incorrectly. When four lines are displayed in the window enter the correct code.
