There is a method to force the loading motor to eject the disc, by holding down three buttons. It's ages ago since I did this,..but try placing the DVD into standby,..then press and hold down together..Eject / Stop / CH UP for 10 seconds (on the machine NOT the remote). If it doesn't eject try same but CH Down instead. I think one of those were the button combination).

press eject whilst gently lifting the tray with your fingernail and the tray should open (try from the sides and top as well)
