Try running the machine empty on a high temperature wash,
occasionally feel the glass if its stone cold,then the most obvious reason is the heating element,.
Does the machine take longer or stick between programs during a wash?.
make/model should have been included in your post,
it can help because most machines have different components in the heating circuit.
without that info I can only suggest the above.
