Only have about three bars working on my heated rear window. I believe there use to be a conductive paint you could buy that would replace the line elements.

Any ideas on this or other ways to fix without replacing the rear screen?

Yea your right I have repaired alot of them with the paint you are talking about ..........but where it came from I don`t know
I worked @ a dealership and we always had it in PARTS DEPT.
Turn rear defroster on and test elements with a test lite til you find where the break is .......
