how can i fix my hotpoint aquaris df61 dishwasher?

it doesnt seem to be pulling any water in and the dial doesnt want to work properly although i think this is because the water isnt going in properly so the sensors are not activating, also i have noticed when it was trying to get water in it was making a clonking noise which sounded like it was coming from the water pipe any ideas??? thanks

where the pipe connects on the back, there is a filter, turn water off, disconnect pipe check filter. As pipes making noise, could be air lock, before reconnecting pipe, put end in bucket or sink if it reaches, turn water on very slowly. make sure water comes through. If still no water getting into m/c. probably the water inlet valve faulty, replace
