I have water in the bottom of dishwasher?

i have water in the bottom of the dishwasher and when i set a cycle it appears to work for 20 seconds then ends,still leaving water there.any ideas

Blocked outlet, blocked out pump, faulty out pump. Check filters, clear, then you will need to get rid of the water, then disconnect pump and check it, if clear. Use test meter to check windings.
