I have an older amana washer that has a bad mixing valve. In looking up the part # found one that matched with a whirlpool for $35. In looking at the various valves they all look pretty much the same, why couldn't i instead buy one made in the us for $10 which is for a whirlpool as well and looks to be the exact same thing only the electrical prongs to hook it up face a different direction? Big deal or not?
