Maytag MDB7100(AWQ) series makes a grinding noise when draining?

I took it apart as far as possible without removing it from under the counter to see if there were any obstructions. I found a plastic BB and a small rock. After clearing everything out, I reassembled it and started the Drain Cycle.

I heard a little water drain out, but the grinding noise started again. The lower "ARM ASSY., WASH (LWR-GRAY)" was BARELY turning clockwise when I opened the door.

Should I attempt to replace the "MOTOR&PUMP HOUSING ASSEMBLY" or do you think it could be something else?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

James, I'm having the exact same problem. Did you ever get an answer on this? Did you end up replacing the motor/pump assembly? Success?
