I'm on BT broadband but when i try to sign in it says Sorry, sign in attempt failed so I have to use Internet Explorer but I don't like it. Thanks for reading.

What do you mean by "when i try to sign in it says Sorry, sign in attempt failed" BT Broadband is an always on service. How are you connected to it? Modem? Router? What? Next, Internet Explorer needs an Internet connection to work. How is it doing that if you are 'not signed on'.

The net of this is that I don't understand your question. Please repost with more information because I don't know what you know about your setup.
