the central locking on my Astra 55 plate does not operate atall. I mistakenly took the fuse out from the luggage compartment for central locking as thought it had blown to find that it hadnt so put it back and still central locking doesnt work - can anyone please tell me what i can do to avoid garage costs - really desparate !!

Put a new battery in the fob.
Put key in ignition, turn two clicks (ignition lights on) press button on fob. Doors should lock then unlock.

when you pull the key from the ignition barrell,does the centre of the barrell pop out? had a few springs break in the barrell on these and this affects the central locking,worth a look,good luck.

If the central locks works with the keys in the lock it may be your key fob
