constantly losing system pressure LSP
has to be a leak somewhere
fixing a leak is relatively simple
the problem comes in finding it
i would check all the rads first
when i say check rads i dont mean just look at them
i would run my hands over the complete rad, rad valves & visible CH pipework checking for any sign of wetness when CH is OFF & when CH is ON
if you're lucky you'll find something
if you're unlucky you wont which means the next step is to start looking at the CH pipework that is not visible
that normally means lifting the floorboards & checking EVERY inch of CH pipe & EVERY CH joint
after having eliminated possibility of leaks on the system [not good news because system leaks are cheap & easy fixes] we are now concentrating on the boiler as the only source of LSP
i would be looking for drips [including safety blowoff pipe] or signs of corrosion inside boiler
this is where it can start to get expensive
if you suspect leak is on system but are unable to find it you can always get an engineer to check for you
bear in mind this is a long & tedious procedure & he would probably be charging you by the hour so even though system leaks are easy to fix, time spent finding them incurs a hefty bill when you're being charged by the hour
cheapest & quickest solution
you find the leak
get someone to fix leak
