I need to remove the rubber from around the front door to get to my AWM 6111 6k washing machine door switch. I saw a video to remove the rubber which involved removing a spring, but it is not the same as mine as there is no spring on mine, just what appears to be a solid rubber ring. Can you help please.

Spring is usually on the inside part, the front part of the seal is usually a plastic clip type of thing, look to the bottom of the seal, lift it up, should see a hard plastic clip, you ned to seperate it, they have teeth which lock together, 1 side needs lifted while the other pushed down.
