Interupted viewing on recordings with Thomson Freeview Box?

On watching recordings, a lot of the programmes skip including the sound - therefore the whole programme is unwatchable. Any idea, how to prevent this from happening??

PSU capacitors are going bad. This is usual for these boxes as they are the cheapest, crappiest Chinese made capacitors money can buy. Take the box apart (or get someone to do it for you.) and remove the psu. Replace it with a repaired one. You could try Ebay. They go for about £10 to £25. Or you go to a local tv engineer. Whatever you choose these capacitors need replacing.
