How can i fix my y reg balingo 1.7 van?

hi my vans been off the road for a while so ive rechaged the battery and tryed to start .when the battery was connected the hazzards flashed sveral times indicating that the imobilizer was off andthe doors open . my battery key fob has given up the ghost (think new battery) so im useing the spare non battery key to start up all thathappens is that the ignition light comes on then the hazzards continue to flash untill i press the button inside but no start up

Hi mike, you said you have 2 keys. Do you know if both keys are coded i.e chip inside?. Might be worth getting a small battery for your original key fob so it works properly.Just that the fob with the battery may be the key to switching off immobiliser, other than that im not sure.
