How do I stop our canon splodging black toner on printed documents?

Intermittently and randomly our networked Canon CLC4040 dumps little splodges of black toner on prints, seems OK for copying. Any ideas?

Chances are there is build up of waste toner at the cleaning blade assy that is dropping on to the paper, open the left side of the machine and you will probably see toner there by the transfer roller. to fix this you need to remove the ITB assy and the cleaner blade assy and hoover out the loose toner (accessed from right hand side of copier.
