Washer won't do anything?

My Beko 1715s washer was half way through a 90 degree cycle when it just stopped, the door light is on but nothing else lights up or does anything. The door will open and close as normal, I've emptied the small filter at the bottom of the machine and checked the pipes at the back........Any ideas please?

The first port of call should be motor brushes. These are notoriosly common items to fail and may or may not give any indication they are about to go west. A new set is about a tenner. It may just solve your problem.
