Movano 2.5 cdti Turbo issue?

I have a 54 plate Movano 2.5cdti that has suddenly started to blow the intake pipe to the intercooler off resulting in a sudden drop in power, a generous coating of oil is in the pipe, but no smoke from the exhaust or noise from the turbo. Taken turbo off and no real sign of bearing wear. So is it the turbo or something else

Right, job sorted, turned out to be the turbo, swapped it and now runs ok again

maybe a code reader will help to check boost pressure sensors etc

was the waste gate/linkage seized when you had the turbo off?
