Hi first thing check make sure disk not full if not then unplug sky recorder from mains for at least 5 mins then plug back in and leave for 5 mins then turn on test should be ok now (common fault) if not could be faulty hard drive but normally switching of for 5 mins can cure loads of faults like this good luck.
