the tension strap has a spring and hook on 1 end that connects through a hole to the cable that leads to the tension selection winder and the other end of the strap facens through a plast clip that then locks down over it to your desired tension. wheel sits in the middle. Hope that help. the plastic clip is about 1 inch above the whole i described. all of this is on the bottom right hand side, looking from seat position
