no power on?

i had opposite polarity given to my dell latitude d600 laptop now it has no power on problem

If you are lucky, it's the only thing blown.

If not, several circuits can be blown before the fuse could do it's job...

It can take a few 100th of second to blow a fuse.
It can take less than 1/1000000 second for an IC to burn.

Bad news for you... :(

Connecting the power with the wrong polarity can destroy several components. You just can't replace those and need to replace the whole computer.
The IC circuits needed are NOT available to the public and not even to any repair shop, may have over 100 welded connectors spaced VERY close toggether.

Your disk should have survived with the data it contain and can be installed in another computer.
