how can i fix the radio on a 96 nissan micra?

She's had the car for 3 years and a month ago the autobox went.I disconneted the radio.she tryed to get it to work pushing all buttons and now it secured.she found the 4 digit uncode on the front of her service book so how do I get it to say code.
