I have an Aiwa Compact Disc Stereo System NSX-A888 and when a tape was stuck in Deck 1 my husband forced it open and now the door will not close and it will need to be professionally repaired. How/where do I find an AIWA repair service?

aiwa cr-c303xr series with 3 disk and rewrite cr model from 2000.yesterday i too inserted a cassette in one of my duel tape player after not using it for 10 years it sat in a stereo cabinet. i forced it open and something broke off the door now both tapes players don't work and there is nobody who can repair it. i do still have the 3 disk player with rewrite recording working and the radio. i also connected in the back an old boom box with duel tape player for recording to either cassette tapes or onto my aiwa rewite disk player. it all works like nothings wrong. Plus it sounds so good been reading the old manuel and I did exactly what it said for the tape section in playing and recording and it still jammed and door would not open. NEVER AGIAN WILL I BE BUYING A STEREO OR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

I was in a second hand stoe and I bought a casstte player the casstte part didint work but the raido part did. know! the raido dont work I really like the player. I thought I should get it fix insted of puting it in the trash.

look for a local repair shop. these units were very popular and most places will deal with them.
It was a pity someone forced the door - this could have easily been released by a technician without damaging anything. All that causes it is a slack rubber drive belt on the tape deck. Now the repair will be far more expensive than it need have been :-(
