laptop graphics?

the graphics card on my hp dz 7000 laptop has gone faulty ie vertical lines on the monitor..can i use a portable usb graphics card unit instead of stripping it down.....

If it's not a virus, then you can't replace the integrated video "card" as it's part of the main board.

If it's a hardware failure of the video "card" component, you have 2 choices:
An external USP video adaptor that you where thinking about, or replacing the laptop.

Make sure it isn't a virus first , I had the same problem and mine was a virus and I found a video on you tube to show me how to remove the problem and my lines Vertical lines went for my laptop. Hope this helps you
