Converting photo's?

How can I convert some of my colour photo's in to black and white one? Is there a program on windows XP or do I have to down load something like photoshop?

Cheers

I am not a great fan of photoshop. For some simple operations I use just an image editor. It's free. Try it here http://fineimageeditor.com/. Enjoy!

Free and lightweight: IrfanView.

The Gimp is a heavy weight. Very good it you want to create images and do advanced image manipulations. The Gimp is overkill if you only want to convert to black and white.

IrfanView can easily convert any image to B&W, sepia and many other.

You will need a photoshop type of program but photoshop will cost you around £700 you can get a free program called "Gimp" it does'nt have all the same functions of the full photoshop but it will do the job you want
