Appliance stopped cooling/freezing all together a few days ago. The compresssor, fan and everything (except the light) stopped. I can turn the temp. adjustment knob just slightly (in either direction) and it will kick on and run/cool fine until the temperature gets to where it should be then everything stops and will not come on again until I "jiggle" the temp. knob again. Kind of like it goes into the defrost mode, but doesn't come back on.

your t/stat is the problem.replace it and it will run fine.
