help my washing machine is sticking on cycle and not finishing or spinning unless i stop the washer myself, what can the problem be and can i fix it myself?

from your description you may have a syphoning problem, the waste hose where it is fitted loosely to the standpipe should not be much more lower than 4 to 5 inches lower than the lid
