i have a zanussi fridge freezer and the fridge is far to cold [nearly freezing]i have heard of the fridge being to warm and needing a thermostat.could this be the same problem.

This problem is very common. The most common remedy is to defrost your refrigerator completly. Unplug it, open the doors and let it set for 12 hours. What happens is the damper door between your freezer and refrigerator freeze open. Try this first.
