Hi, i have a miele w524 that showed the check drain light about 10 mins before end of cycle, i checked the filter and it was pretty full i cleaned and ran another cycle and the lights came on again so i then cleaned the hose and pipes/ubend leading from the machine, i read that i should run a drain only cycle with the filter out while watching to see if the pump was working, well i could see the little propeller spinning fast but no water seems to drain away, if its spinning does it mean its not faulty?

If your impellor is spinning and the pipework etc is clear it should drain ok unless there is something like a sock stuck in the hose that runs from the drum to the pump. The check drain light that is flashing is it just a drain indicator? On some Mieles the light is for drain/inlet and could be either not draining or not filling on the same warning light, if so could be faulty rinse water inlet valve Cheers
