how can i fix my silvercrest satellite receiver SL65. when power button is pressed the red standby light comes on but the receiver does not boot to display the time or channels when switched on with remote control(new batteries)

You could invoke the three year warranty that they come with. Other than that, unless you want to get the foreign channels, I'd bin it a buy a Freesat box. Budget boxes light that are really not worth the effort.
