i have a c402c toilet fitted in my 4 year old caravan what is the best way to clean the water tank for flushing, the inside has a black coating of muck, which i believe blocks up the water pump as this is the 2nd water pump that has jammed and can not be freed.

You should always drain the tank during long periods of none use espcially in storage, although I've read that the pink fluid breaks down causing 'floating debris I've not had this problem when forgetting to drain off. Don't try bleach.
