Hello,

We have just moved our washing machine to a family members house. We turned the machine off and put it in the car took it out and then plugged it in an then there was an error code on the screen. The code is F:09 and all 4 lights are on, on the bottom of the screen.

From looking on google I basically have the idea that the PCB is broken. Is this a fixable DIY job, and how much are they..

Any help would be great thanks.

Hi, the problem we have is that the machine will fill with water twice & then it stops, the drum won't rotate & after a few minute an error message showing F:01 with appear & the machine emptys again. You the have to turn the machine off at the mains & after waiting a few minutes & switching back on the same thing will happen. We have tried stopping the machine from its cycle after it fills & switching off at the mains again, then retrying which sometimes works, but more than often it will just fill with even more water & still not rotate. It does go through a little spell of working fine for a few days & then this problem again.
Please help if possible!

my hotpoint wmd940 ultima powers on and locks the door but when i press start nothing happens. when i power it off the lock symbol stays lighting.

UPDATE

I had it unplugged for a few more minutes and then it seems too have reset itself so there is no error code being displayed.

However there is a new problem.. Now when I go to put a wash cycle on it says that the machine door is not locked when it is.. I have tried the usual gently closing, harder closing still no joy.

I also took off the top off the machine and looked down at the door lock all seems to be okay. It clicks into place. When you press start it usually sounds a beep and then a louder clicking noise of the door being locked into place however that louder click doesn't happen?
