AEG Favorit 65050 VI integrated dishwasher - Not heating the water?

Hi...I have a AEG Favorit 65050 VI integrated dishwasher that is 8 years old and it is just started not to be heating the water - after the cycle the dishes are cold - Is there any other potential problem other than a faulty heating element and how easy is it to fix??

test element with a multimeter across the 2 terminals.29 ohms or there about is good. Also check relay output on main control pcb as they can get bad solder joints and blown tracking.resolder heater relay whilst in there even if it looks good and retry

its good that its only the element that has gone, because if it was some other main part , it might cost a lot to fix, i would say its 99% the element that has gone, you need to take out the machine out" take the back off . follow the powers wires in " they should take you to the element, take a photo of the 3 wires that go to it, unscrew the element,, take the 3 wires off, and take it out, replace it, get one the same shape and power rateing> Ebay or a good hardware store, have all power off going to the machine when working on it,as you know, not realy a hard job, once you can get to the element,,
