ive accidently pressed the water level up and down buttons at the same time which has now made my machine beep continuously, after checking the lights its telling me its an error 49, ive got a tech coming out but if i can fix it myself would be much appreciated thanks

Error code 49 means control board is getting a bad reading from the cold water inlet valve circuit. This could mean a faulty cold water inlet valve, a wiring plug on valve not connected properly or a fault in the control board itself which would mean a new control board is required. Unless you have a test meter then leave it to the tech.
