stopped machine mid cycle when turned back on it wont drain the water and now the door will not close ?

Try setting in start of a spin cycle, it wil 1st pump out water, Might have to hold door in, IF not, you will have to drain all water out, you should have a filter housing that you can unfix to drain all from. failing that repost, BUT give make model etc etc etc
