torque nut to 5 lb/feet,slacken nut,tighten the nut again-finger tight only,fit nut retainer till a finger covers the left hand side of the split pin hole,turn retainer a/clockwise till you can insert the correct split pin fully into the hole in the stub axle.secure split pin and fit hub cover
