I am amazed at how many classic main module faults you seem to think there are on hotpoint/indesit/ariston machines, the latest being an H20 fault on the display. There are at least 3 or 4 more likely reasons an h20 fault would appear, I know times are hard and we've all got to make a living but come on !!!

and before you start flashing your credentials at me I have been repairing these particular makes of appliances at a rate of 50 a week for more years than i care to remember

I'm not disputing the fact that this code "could" be caused by a faulty module, my point is, a faulty module, in this instance and in many others will not be the most likely cause, so instead of letting people "borrow" a board (for £12), why not advise them on what the fault code actually means?

H20 on these modules is nothing to do with valves or motors ???

Well you're half right. You're not seriously trying to tell me that the water valve cant be responsible for a fault code, which is after all, the chemical symbol for water

H20 is no water fill or timed out. Come along and visit us - I will show you 100 mk6 modules with this same fault. This is not some vague invitation - I mean it. Call me on 0115 9652118 or 07730120672. Our postcode is NG25 0TD - can you make it ? I am in most of this next week. H20 on these modules is nothing to do with valves or motors. If we think it's not a module fault, we say so. Remember part of our service is to let customers effectively 'borrow' a module for £12. We have no interest in supplying modules that will not cure the fault. Call me Monday. Tony EMW Electronics
