I changed the radio ( under back seat ) and 6 cd changer ( dash mounted)in my 03 renault vel satis recently.

I believed the replacements worked but changed the fascia on the cd changer to that of the old one before I tested it ( my error). When I put in the 4 digit code for the radio it displays "cd error" and then asks for a code for the cd, renault gave me a code for the cd but it doesn't work ! just goes to "error" and I am locked out for 40 minutes ! . . .. . help please
