How do I enter a sale so the Sales Tax adds to it automatically on a SHARP ?

Usually you enter the amount of the item, the dept. number, hit SBTL (where it should be adding my programmed tax rate) for total sale---but its not---its just giving me the total period. Baically, just adding 2+2+4 with no calculate sales tax. What key stroke automatically adds my 7% programmed sales tax?

No. It should not add tax on subtotal because you could not mix taxed and non taxed items. It adds tax on each department. You need to go to the department programming and set tax 1 to the department. Do it for each department that you wish to add tax to.
