hotpoint wf740 not working?

my washers stoped working, theres no fault code. ive taken the front filter out and it did have a bit of paper and a few coins in. all the water now drained out and pump runs freely. theres nothing happening at all, the lights are lighting up to what ever turn the knob to but then nothing?? theres no sound of the water rushing in as normal when its starting the cycle.

Matthew, if it locks the door and then does nothing, it could just be worn out carbon brushes on the motor (these stop water going in & also stop pump working). If the machine is dead (not even locking door) it could well be the main module. We supply a module for this (main one in back of machine) on a sale or return basis (so you can send it back if it does not sort the problem, less our handling charge of £12). Cost is £59.88 + £6 post (exchange). You can order it by going to our site at www.emwelec.co.uk and putting WF740 in the search box or by calling us on 0115 9652118. Tony EMW Electronics
