Classic LXFF & FF Fanned Flue Gas Boiler won't ignite!?

I've followed the instructions and tried to reignite but it's as if the boiler doesn't realise its cold and just comes on and waits. I've read a similar question by Barbara "How do you reignite an Ideal Classic LXFF & FF Fanned flue gas boiler?" in October 2006 where Mike answered about a loud dronning noise. It sounds as normal though and no further help was given.

Does anyone know what might be the issue? It's very cold so any ideas would be great!!!

Hi have you disconnected the power supply and reconnected but by misstake reversed the polarity ie: live in neutral and neutral in live?.This will cause the igniter to light the pilot light but keep clicking and not light main gas burner.Sorry only just come accross your problem you have proberbly sorted it by now.

put your hand over the flue to see if fan running, if so then pressure switch or pcb faulty
