how do i fix my laptop ?

hi, my acer laptop keeps starting without loading the mouse pad or keyboard driver . i cant skip disc checking at start-up, a usb mouse stil works. how can i sort this without formatting the laptop?

Well it sounds like the Bios is set to use external keyboard and mouse. you'll have to go into the bios setup to set it back so you can use the onboard maouse and keyboard. To do this you need to turn on the laptop and look at the screen. Somewhere on screen it should say Press F2 to enter setup(Dell) or press ESC for setup(toshiba) or F1 for setup(others) It depends on what you got. Look around in the bios setup for "onboard devices" or a mention of the keyboard or mouse. you should be given the choice to turn the onboard keyboard and mouse on. if i knew your laptop model i could help you more.
