Both sides run from 1 compressor, is temp ok? check defrost heater not stuck on. You would need to unplug unit, then remove the cover from inside the back of fridge. unplug defrost heater, try that, BUT as you can hear it, could be iced up in the back, which would indicate defrost heater not working, some sensors on the coil behind the panel, could be 1 of them, or the heater itself
