saftey isolating transformer?

The transformer with my Christmas lights needs replacing, the model and specifications are:
CZJUTAI Model no. JT-240v0300
Pri: 230-240v -50Hz
Sec:24v-300mA ,7.2VA

Can you tell me if
Model no.JT-DC240V0250
Pri:230-240V- 50HZ
Sec;24v-250mA,6w will be a suitable replacement
With thanks.

Sparky is right of course - in an ideal world 300mA or greater is what you need. The world, however, is not ideal and you have one to hand that will very probably be fine - and it's Christmas.

Probably

The original is rated at 300mA and your intended replacement 250mA.

The load (lamps) will take much less than the 300mA rating else the transformer would be working at its extreme limit - my guess is that it will be fine.

in an ideal world you would want one with the same 300mA or greater rather than going smaller
