Can't open pump filter on Beko WM5120?

Hi, I am registered blind and a single mother. As I have a tiny bit of vision (5%), I usually manage to do things myself. Our washing machine stopped draining so I went to empty the filter and check for foreign objects, but it turns about one quarter and then sticks, although you can easily turn it clockwise back to starting position. I tried pushing it further and part of the 'handle' broke off. It also will not lever out. I have taken the plastic front off all along the bottom of the machine. I really need help as although I work full time we have no money right now and I don't know what to do, please can anyone help??

Ok, thankyou. How would I do that? Do I remove the remaining screws on the metal running along the bottom of the front of the machine? I think I will need to give it a go as I cant afford to get it mended at the moment :( Thanks so much for trying to help me :) Eve

if you are unable to remove the filter and have broken the cap off and tried levering it out the only option left would be to disconnect the hoses to the filter housing and remove whole filter unit from the machine and try clear the obstruction that way.I am not sure if you will be able to do this or not but think it might be the only way!
