I inadvertently clicked on Abode when I was opening a cd file on books and the result is that all book are indicated with the Abode sign; but I am unable to open the books. I am not very computer literate.

Install a free copy of Adobe Reader and you will then be able to read all the files - I told you this half an hour ago in your previous question. PAY ATTENTION!

Alternatively
Use the feature on your machine that lets you search for different files - find the files and delete them. You will then be blind to them - both unseen & unreadable.
