infuser stuck in down position?

Delonghi coffee maker jammed with the infuser in the down position and we can't remove it or get any thing to work. Any one any ideas has to how to fix this ?

Sounds like the problem you mentioned wit the creaking is what we have with our De Longhi. Towards the end of the cycle we get a rumbling noise and then the warning red triangle with the one and two cup green lights sometimes flashing and sometimes not. It always happens right at the end of the cycle. I have found this motor on Ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230918673325
Will this solve the problem do you think?

sounds like the motor. you will need to make sure power is off and remove back the large silver motor in centre imho this will be issue you need rotate motor manially so that infuser is at lowesest point this should allow you to remove infuser. If you refit this then power up it should then reset, if like mine it doesnt (just crackles a little then gives warning light) then i think your motor brushes are worn .. cheaper to change motor £30 EBAY
