358350480 Craftsman 42cc 18in chainsaw. Not lubing chain?

Are there any ways to check if the chain oil pump is bad without replacing it? Could something be clogged? How do you troubleshoot?

might have to do a little disassembling of the saw to check for a no oiling problem. sometimes the tube comes of the pump, or the worm gear is damaged. you can go on to searspartsdirect.com and type in the number on your saw and you will be able to get a break down pictures of your saw, this will be able to help you solve the problem.
