How do i connect my Dell Comp. MicroSoft 8 to a X4650 Lexmark Printer ?

I received a Dell Computer with Microsoft 8 on it for Christmas, I have a Lexmark X4650 Printer that I can not get to talk together. Can anyone help me please.

I connected the Cyberpower cable between computer and printer now what do I do?

Please tell me if these two are compatible?

Some times, you need to install the software before connecting, so if you have a disk, unplug printer, uninstall it from windows printers, put the disk in and install, connect when asked during the install, no reason it would not work, just sometimes the way round you do it

Apart from the cable to connect the two together you will need to install the device driver that matches the operating system (W8) with the device (Lexmark x 4650)

A Device Driver is the piece of software in the machine that "talks" to a peripheral device.

Take care where you get it from - Lexmark / Microsoft will not charge - but there are places who will try to sell it to you - give them a miss.

Good luck...
