Creda 79151c thermal fuse failures, what is the cause?

The thermal fuse on my creda 79151c storage heater has failed twice, is this likely to be caused by a faulty input thermostat?the heater got very hot prior to the failure.

try changing the fuse wire in the fuse whats in the fusebox to a thicker wire it worked for me sometimes a thin wire is to weak
